Feelscape writes about Horizontal/Vertical 7″ by Ovro:
“This is a true remarkable listening experience and highly recommended for anyone that likes weirdness and originality.”

Aquarius Records about Ovro’s Horizontal/Vertical 7″:
“Ovro is a Finnish woman who has recorded a handful of dark, dark, dark electronic albums for the steel-eyed Some Place Else label. Her contribution to the Drone series curated by Stefan Knappe of Troum, features two tracks of underwater percolations and bubblings, not all of that far removed from the geothermal vent recordings that Jakob Kirkegaard presented through Touch a while back. On top of these thick, churning, low-end rumbles, Ovro musters an unsettled chorus of scraped guitars and found object manipulation that pushes what otherwise could have been a clinical investigation into geologic sound towards the sound esoterica of Cranioclast, Coil, and irr. app. (ext.).”

The Fate Dealer, a demo track for the next Ovro album, forthcoming on Some Place Else this year, can be listened to at Some Place Else myspace. The track features vocals by Niko Skorpio, as directed by Ovro herself.
Connexion Bizarre writes about Revisited:
“Ovro’s ability to take field recordings from very different sources and combine the sounds as if they are musical elements in their own right is fascinating. While her music is distinctly electronic and dark ambient, her use of TV samples, overheard conversations and everyday sounds brings an element of familiarity to her work, bringing with it a sense of feeling and presence not achieved with other dark ambient releases.”
